Jeremy, my sweet little brother..........sometimes

Jeremy is my 9 year old brother. He is like a little blue eyed frog, according to me. He sometimes fights about stuff, and sometimes whines, but that will never change the fact that he will always be my little brother.   What I'm saying is I'm on vacation wwith him and I'll stick with the fact that he should use his nice and cuddly side with me and know that I'll always love him!!!!!

Funny!(?)

Is this funny to you?: Why did the turkey have a gobble? Because without it, it would starve. My dad asked what's so funny, I said it needs a gobble to eat or else it would die of starvation! He laughed.

Okay, now what about this story my friend Taylor Steele told me:

There was an old woman who bought a new house, and went to her new neighbour, Fred, and said, ''What should I name my house?'' Fred said,'' Get off my property you big hairy butt!'' The old woman said,''That's  a perfect name! I'll name it Big Hairy Butt.''. Then a couple weeks later she bought a cat. On the way home she stepped on a crack. She said,''That's a perfect name!'' I'll name you Crack.'' Of course  she lost Crack. She said,''I looked everywhere in my big hairy butt, but I can't find my Crack!''

Honey Bunny

Honey bunny is a blessing to me. I really, really, love her. She may just be a dog, but she is a friend to me forever. Honey Bunny has cancer. My great grandpa Walter died from cancer. I hate cancer, it destroys everyones dreams. If Honey Bunny dies before my birhday, (May 30th,) I will be destroyed................. I love her, and for me, all that matters is that I know she loves me. If your best buddy, who is part of you, how would you feel?

What a Week!!!!!!!

WOW!!! This is an awesome week! On the 29th, we have our D.A.R.E. Graduation day, then on the 30th, it's my Birthday!!!!!!!!! YIPPEE!! I'm going to turn 12!! Awesome. But do you want to know whats not awesome to me,
schools almost out. What's good about it is that when my grandpa Roger and my dad gets their new fishing license, I will have someone to fish with!

I've learned a lot o f things from my D.A.R.E. teacher, Deputy Thomas. In D.A.R.E. we have workbooks we use to complete our knowledge in paper/pencil activities. Deputy Thomas is a very good teacher, especially when he isn't talking to Mr. McGuire!!!!!! (HE HE HE ) He has talking to us about Tobacco, the Nicotine is the addicted ingredient. He brought in “Smoking Suzie” and showed what happens wen you smoke one time. ( He had put a cigarette in her mouth and made her suck it in and then blow the smoke out. He said he smelled like cigarettes the rest of the day!)


When somebody drinks alcohol, they can't see very well. They hurt others badly even do stuff without remembering what they did! One way we got to sees what a drinker by using these goggles called D.U.I. Goggles. When I wore them, it felt like I was trying to be balanced. I almost fell walking on the flat ground! It was very silly looking, at least when your not the one who is drinking, and I mean really drinking!


Every Monday, 6th grade is supposed to wear their D.A.R.E. T-Shirts to show other students, (Under Sixth grade level,) that that day was D.A.R.E. day. D.A.R.E. day is the day we talk about what drugs and other stuff, such as the age of people allowed to do the drugs, and what they do to your body. We also did stuff such as how many people from the 8th grade that smoke, 7%, or, how many 8th graders that drink,16%. If you smoke or drink, what would you do about it if you know that you'll have lung cancer and you'll have very nice teachers upset and worried about you, as well as you best buddies and class mates.


D.A.R.E. day is an awesome day. If you haven't had D.A.R.E. before well you should come back to 6th grade. D.A.R.E. and Deputy Thomas is awesome. And I, Amber Rose Cottrell, Will never, ever, ever, do anything to hurt my body, or disappoint my teachers!

Should Books Have Happy Endings?

Excuse Me, But, I'm not having a happy ending here!!!!! Somebody!?!?

If every book has a happy ending, it wouldn't have a happy reader. The books with happy ending let you know what happens, but books without happy endings make you wonder and want you to get an idea for a sequel, (if there isn't one already!) For example, I tried to write a book with a happy ending, it didn't work out as well as the one that had a sad ending! Happy endings almost always end up in fairy tales. I like books with scary endings, books that sometimes end up sa. ( Some books with sad endings like,

I DO NOT LIKE BOOKS LIKE THAT!!!!!!!!!!!) So I guess I like books without happy endings. (Sometimes.)

Relay for Life

Relay for Life is a program for people with cancer. I have a dog, ( I wish she was mine, p.s., she's my parents/ mom's,) named Honey Bunny. She's 11, like me. My great grandpa Walter died with cancer somewhere around the middle of February? (2009), but I miss him. So you walk in laps and try to help people with cancer. I love Honey Bunney with all my hear!My Great Grandpa was a preacher. He said that the Holy Spirit visited and washed over him.WOW! But I'm glad for him, he gets to see some of his children and his wife. So I will walk till I drop if that's what it takes!! I, Amber Rose Cottrell, will walk for them!

This is not no ordinary school, it's the place where, when you walk in, you eyes are closed, when you walk out, your eyes are open and full of not only learning, but also full of friends.!
